In recent years, there is a trend of gradual improvement attributed to the government’s effort in providing sewerage along the coastal strip between Tsing Lung Tau and Ting Kau areas in phases, and the commissioning of the Sham Tseng Sewage Treatment Works and the Disinfection Facilities at Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works.

Highlight:
Lido Beach is in Tsuen Wan District, to the west of Tsuen Wan and to the south of Castle Peak Road. It is one of the six beaches that open to swimmers all year round. The area is mainly lightly developed with individual low-rise houses mainly close to the beaches. The beach is favoured by some regular early morning swimmers.
