In recent years, there is a trend of gradual improvement attributed to the government’s effort in providing sewerage along the coastal strip between Tsing Lung Tau and Ting Kau areas in phases, and the commissioning of the Sham Tseng Sewage Treatment Works and the Disinfection Facilities at Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works.
The beach was temporarily closed from November 29, 2021 to March 31, 2023, for renovation works.

Anglers’ Beach is located to the east of Tsing Lung Tau and adjacent to the Castle Peak Road. Being opposite to Ma Wan, the beach offers a distant view of Kap Shui Mun, Ting Kau and Tsing Ma Bridges. It is equipped with barbeque facilities.
